The GGG Mentoring Program encourages the sharing of knowledge among the GGG members, and brings in information from outside experts such as gallery owners and business people. It serves to advance personal expertise in artistic and technical areas, as well as business skills, including planning and marketing.
Mentors and mentees meet on a regular basis, once or twice a month, in order to develop an ongoing beneficial professional relationship. These meetings will be complemented by group seminars and social events.
In the pilot program, starting in January 2011, we will match one-to-one partnerships which focus on the needs of the participants. We will pair those who are willing to share their strengths with those who are interested in developing their skills.
Find more info at the Professional Development Mentoring page!

My name is Dorothea Chism. I moved to Huntsville, AL a year ago. But I have had no luck in finding somewhere to finish my education. I moved from Washington, D.C.. I went to Corocoran School of Art and Design. I have a piece that I was unable to finish in D.C. I need help with riveting, and cabochon setting, and I either need to bead set or flush set CZ's in the piece. This piece is three dimensional. I would be so willing to pay someone to help me finish this piece. Please email me…

I am in Florida for Christmas. The thing I miss from the bench the most is the torch. I have my tools (I'll be doing a workshop in late January here in Florida) but no torch and I don't travel with a mini.
So what is a girl to do? Family time, walks on the beach. Beading, stringing, Cleaning. And I knit.
Also...read, do puzzles and sketch lots of jewelry designs.
What are you doing after the holiday?…
